Our Purpose as Raising Awesome Awareness, Inc. is to bring awareness to our community for special needs children and their families. To bring the community together by having local events that bring in resources for our special needs families. To be able to give back to our local special needs children by providing events in a safe and inclusive environment.
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing acceptance, inclusion and love to all our differently abled children and their families. We also provide local events for our special need community.
Our Journey.
Our inspiration is our son Sergio. He was diagnosed with Autism Developmental delay before the age of 5. He is now 23 years old. Our journey we rode solo for many years until we found some amazing families in 2012 and ever since our journey has been an amazing ride. We have our good and bad days but we embrace our son for who he is not for what AUTISM tends to define him as. We have always traveled out of town to get him involved with other events and organizations. There are families who can not travel to give thier child this inclusion. That’s when we got together with other families to make our own local events. Ever since our events have grown and we decided to take those extra steps to make it officail and in 2016 Raising Awesome Awareness was established.
